What If I Don't Like Needles?

Then we find another way, one where you don't get stuck. Qi (energy) can be moved without needles. Other approaches include moxabustion, tuina, gua sha, or cupping. Herbal medicine is also effective for many problems usually treated with acupuncture. These alternatives are described in the Treatments section of this website.

But please take a look at the needles before deciding. Modern acupuncture needles are very thin, almost hairlike, much smaller in diameter than the hollow needles used in Western medicine. The discomfort of acupuncture is mild, and in many cases, people feel no discomfort at all.

That said, we will work together to find a treatment plan that works- with or without needles.
